Lisa, I wonder! Joseph acted honestly disappointed that I didn’t buy the earrings, though, so I don’t know if that’s something he lets people get away with often. But this guy is quite the actor, so that could have all been part of the show. I would like to know if this is the same guy!

Hi, Sabina. I wonder if I met the same man in the souk (or one with the same technique). He chatted with me for a bit and offered to give me earrings as a ‘gift’. I said no and then he insisted and then showed me more jewelry. I felt obligated and awkward and eventually left–with the earrings only–saying that I might return later. I did not.

True how much more likely you are to be approached, etc. when traveling solo.

I look forward to hearing more of the story, by the way!
